This CRA Board Meeting was conducted utilizing Communications Media Technology. Some Staff members were present in the Commission Chambers while others were present via the Zoom application to respect the social distancing guidelines.

4. CONSENT AGENDA

b. Palmetto Bay Oyster Restoration Project
MOTION: Mr. Jones moved, Ms. Cornwell seconded, and the motion carried 5-0 to
approve the Consent Agenda as presented by staff.
5. SVN COMMERCIAL ADVISORY GROUP CONTRACT EXTENSION
Mr. Barnebey stated that the SVN contract for Riverside property is about to expire. They are in the middle of accepting proposals. They are also about to send out the 30-day notice for proposals to be submitted for the development of the property. Therefore, the contract needs to be extended. He suggested extending it until September 30, 2023 or at the time of closing on the property, whichever comes first.
MOTION: Ms. Cornwell moved, Mr. Williams seconded, and the motion carried 5-
0 to approve the extension of SVN contract until September 30, 2023 or on closing, whichever comes first.
6. CRA DIRECTOR’S COMMENTS
Mr. Johnson stated that he is working to familiarize himself with the ongoing CRA projects. He will be prepared to give an update at the next CRA meeting.
7. CRA PRESIDING OFFICER’S COMMENTS
Mayor Bryant asked the Board if they received the update on Connor Park.
Bob Gause, Gause and Associates, gave an update on Connor Park. They are working towards the April 27th dedication ceremony, which will be at 10am. He noted that there is a visibility issue in one area of the roadway. He highlighted a document that was sent out to the Commissioners and is included in the minutes.
Mr. Williams questioned the trees that are part of the visibility issue. It was noted that the owner of the property should be notified to remove the trees, which was the consensus of the Board and Mr. Rayan. Mr. Gause stated that he will work with Mr. Rayan and send out a notice to the owner of the property.

Mr. Jones reiterated the need to do what’s best for the City, in reference to removing the trees to eliminate the visibility issue.
8. CRA BOARD MEMEBERS’ COMMENTS
Mr. Jones questioned the demolition of dwellings on 7th Avenue. He would like there to be a workshop for a status update on that property.
Mr. Williams inquired about the time frame of completion for the Oyster Bay Reef Ball project. Vicki Moore answered that they are waiting on the Coast Guard permit. Approximately 30 days after they receive the permit, they will be able to complete the project.
Mr. Williams also questioned Chief Tyler regarding the removal of a boat that is sunken in the area. Chief Tyler responded that he believed it is outside of the Reef Ball operational area. He also noted that they have to follow legal guidelines for removal.
Mayor Bryant adjourned the meeting at 7:33 pm.
